Courses to be done before the exams:
ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR COURSE AT: OPERATIONAL CL-IV LEVEL
>The course is open to Marine Engineers who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of the operation and control of the machinery installation of a modern merchant ship and who wish to appear for MEO class IV Examination.
>To Officers in charge of an engineering watch at the operational level who wish to appear for the examination of MEO IV
ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING(AFF)
This course is open to those seafarers who have completed a basic course in fire fighting; and
Are masters, chief engineers, senior officers and key personnel who may have to control fire fighting operations; and Must be certified by a doctor to be in good health
Must have approved sea-going service of not less than 12 months or have attended an approved pre-sea training course and have an approved sea-going service of not less than six months
Must be medically fit - ILO Format of Medical Fitness Certificate
PROFICINECY IN SURIVIAL CRAFT AND RESCUE BOAT (PSCRB)
Must have completed the course in Personal Survival Techniques
Must have approved sea-going service of not less than 12 months or have attended an approved pre-sea training course and have an approved sea-going service of not less than six months
Must be medically fit - ILO Format of Medical Fitness Certificate
MEDICAL FIRST AID (MFA)
An approved sea-going service of not less than six months
