Firewood Electric Chainsaw Cutter Build

...

HomeMade Kinetic Log splitter (better than hydraulic?)
A 2.2 kW / 3 HP (2800 rpm) motor is fine for such a machine. Even with high pressure on the chain it works without any problem.
Thanks to the foldable structure, the whole thing is very maneuverable and does not take up to much space.

Drill Press Restoration | KIRA 10mm | Complete disassembly

...

Japanese-made KIRA 10mm bench drill
The appearance is worn, and the motor is not original. The spindle is bent and the concentricity is poor. Some parts are missing. It was violently repaired before, and the spindle clamp was left in the machine head. The spindle was re-drilled and fixed with thick iron wire.

Completely disassembled, cleaned, and the appearance parts were sandblasted and repainted. Repaired the spindle accuracy and repaired and replaced some damaged parts. In the end, the accuracy was basically restored and the sound sounded good. 、

Should You Buy A $40 Mini Lathe? - Mini Lathe Review

...

Ever since I started looking for a small metal lathe for my workshop, I've known about inexpensive mini wood lathes available. I've always been more interested in metalworking, so I've never bought one. But three years after I first saw one, the price has dropped significantly, and the design has improved. It's now selling for around $40 on eBay. I've been wanting to try turning wood for a long time, so I'm glad I bought this one to see what a $40 mini lathe could do. Seeing how well a small metal lathe performs, I hoped this one would be a hidden gem in the market.

Building a lathe from industrial scrap

...

Building this lathe from scratch was a huge challenge, so it was based on instinct and available materials. Nevertheless, I'm pleased with the result. Although it doesn't have the full functionality of a real lathe, it's small, powerful, and can drill metal rods with a maximum diameter of 30 mm through the spindle borehole.

Handcrafted Aluminum RC Excavator(1:24) | Part 5: How to Make a Hydraulic Directional Valve

...

This video, "Wilderness Machinist," explores building a remote-controlled aluminum excavator by hand. In this video, we'll make a hydraulic directional control valve and a pressure relief valve from aluminum for a RC model. The directional control valve is designed to accommodate three hydraulic cylinders, and a pressure gauge is also built and tested along with all the components.

I also resolved the air bubbles in the hydraulic pump left over from the previous video.

The prototype for this RC excavator is a Sany SY1350H large excavator, built in 1:24 scale. The main structural components are made of aluminum, while other parts are made of POM or 3D-printed. The completed model is nearly 600 millimeters long.

This video demonstrates the machining process for the key components of the directional control valve, including:

Manifold: Machining the oil drain hole and oil return port.

Valve body and spool: CNC machining and external machining.

Drive shaft: Involves complex milling, turning, and threading processes.

Keywords: DIY, RC excavator, hydraulic directional control valve, hydraulic pressure relief valve, aluminum, CNC machining, manufacturing, modeling, mechanical engineering, hydraulic pump, hydraulic system.

Angle Grinder Hack - How to Make a Simple Homemade Hammer Grinder with an Angle Grinder | DIY

This video will show you how to make a simple homemade hammer grinder using an angle grinder. Hammer grinders can also be called grinding grinders, corn grinders, or corn mills. This DIY hammer grinder has multiple cutting blades inside the hammer grinder drum. These cutting blades are rotated by the angle grinder via a chain drive system. I reduced the speed of the angle grinder using gears and chains to increase the torque for this homemade corn grinder. This DIY hammer grinder is used for grinding corn, coal, wood, animal feed, and poultry feed. This DIY hammer grinder is very useful for making animal feed and poultry feed. This DIY homemade corn grinder is inexpensive and easy to make at home. You can quickly grind corn with this homemade machine. This angle grinder hack works great. I hope you enjoy this angle grinder hack.

Building a vertical mill from industrial scrap

...

In this video, we add vertical milling capabilities to a home-built lathe, which was also built mostly from materials from a local industrial scrap yard. While the design isn't particularly simple, given its compact size, we think it performs quite well. Powered by a 500W DC motor with a custom-built speed controller, the milling head is aligned with the center spindle of the chuck and can move both vertically and horizontally for slotting. We learned a lot about milling in this video, and quickly became familiar with some of the milling techniques.

Seized Piston & Damaged Threads: Can This Cylinder Rod Be Saved?

...

CUTTING EDGE ENGINEERING AUSTRALIA PTY LTD
A severely damaged cylinder core from a 120-ton Komatsu mining truck was in the shop. The piston was stuck and the threads were in poor condition. Rather than throw it away, we decided to see if it could be repaired! The first step was to install it on the lathe, switch to a four-jaw chuck, and straighten everything. Once we had a stable support, we started to machine the piston. However, we encountered some hard points from the heat that rapidly corroded the insert. Once past the difficult point, the threads were exposed, and fortunately, they weren't completely damaged. Then it was time for the tricky part: threading the lathe with precision and coordination. After cleaning the threads and removing the damaged piston, we finally used our prefabricated column grinder to polish the core and restore the surface. This was a true test of precision and patience, but the results were good once everything was in place.
