Speech-music separation-Abstract
Blind signal separation is used to separate independent signals that have been mixed together, for instance vocals and musical instruments in a song. This project examines several techniques used to separate speech from music and compares their effectiveness and limitations such as whether they are effective with stereo or mono recordings. This involves using digital signal processing techniques such as Short Time Fourier Transforms to analyze the mixed signal and identify and extract the vocal signal.
