Cost Engineer (EPC Oil & Gas)
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
- Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of invoices, etc.
- Calculate manhours required for project activities
- Prepare Financial KPIs for the project / work orders
- Monitor Project progress and performance against KPIs
- Prepare budgets and Monitor cost allocation for resources and procurement activities
- Prepare time and cost reports
- Conduct cost related analysis and generate report on weekly and monthly basis to support Project Management and teams
- Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring
- Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
- Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
- Attend project meetings and discussions with the Project Management Team and client
- Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management's review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
- Provide cost control and planning advice to Project Management Team as and when required.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Bachelors of Engineering / Financial Mangement
- Cost Control experience on Oil & Gas EPC and Fabrication Project (mandatory)
- High level of IT knowledge, Power Point, MS Office applications & MS Projects
- Expert user of Primavera (P6)
- Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous
- Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.
- Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
- Should have worked in an overseas location - preferably Middle East.
- Minimum 7 years experience in a similar field.
